Terms
Effective May 27, 2026. These terms set expectations for private alpha testers and family workspace members.
Private alpha service
Family Legacy Archive is currently a private alpha product. Features may change, break, or be reset during testing. Do not rely on the alpha as the only copy of important family records.
Accounts and invitations
You are responsible for the activity under your account. Invites are intended for the person or email address selected by the workspace owner or admin and should not be shared publicly.
Family content
You must have the right to upload, enter, or share the content you add. Do not upload unlawful content, malware, content that violates another person’s rights, or highly sensitive documents during alpha testing.
Respect for living people
Living people may request corrections, hiding, deletion, or restrictions on content about themselves. Workspace owners and admins are expected to handle those requests with care.
Governance and recovery
Owners and admins may manage memberships, roles, profile managers, review queues, disputes, soft-deleted records, audit logs, AI eligibility, and exports for their workspace.
AI features
AI features are optional and may be prototype features during alpha. AI outputs can be incomplete or incorrect and should be checked against cited archive sources.
Acceptable use
Do not attempt to bypass access controls, scrape private content, interfere with the service, upload malicious files, impersonate others, or use the app for illegal, abusive, or harmful activity.
No production warranty
The alpha is provided as-is, without warranties. We are testing product fit, reliability, privacy controls, and archive workflows before broader production use.
Changes
We may update these terms as the product develops. Continued use after updates means you accept the revised terms.
